Evolution part II

Let's see the evidence then. Come on, put up or shut up.

80% of the worlds population believe in a diety of some sort. its built in us
Just because many, or the majority, believe something, that does not necessarily make it true. If you go back in time just about 100% of people thought the Earth was flat. We are all just more educated fools these days and, as we all know, if you make something foolproof nature just makes a better fool.

Anyway, I don’t care about this world anymore. When people say look what kind of planet we are leaving to our children I say so what, look what kind of children we are leaving to the planet...

Ah, but they knew that because the aliens who visited the Earth thousands of years ago (God to you) told them!

becuase of our seperation and fallen nature.we became alien to God.
thats why we cant see God. but we can if we want to, thanks to Jesus.

FFS!! Can we see him or not, first you say we can't see your god, then you say you can see your god, is this what they call "blind faith"

Seriously, when I was very much younger I went on a course for confirmation. Unlike all these people who claim to have heard or even seen God, I'm afraid I never did.

Of course, I later 'saw the light' and became a 'born again atheist'.

Edit: In my last, I was not being flippant about alien visitation and influence on mankind. It is at least as believable as the existence of some supernatural, invisible and intangible being.

Interesting research published yesterday by Royal Society

New insights into differences in brain organization between Neanderthals and anatomically modern humans

This suggests that neanderthals leaving Africa relatively earlier than modern man resulted in different evolutionary changes at a critical time of brain development. When modern man eventually turned up he was better equipped to compete and neanderthals died out as a species (or sub species if you prefer).

The evidence is there if you want to see it.

Err, i think you'll find that neandertals didn't originate from Africa.

being confirmed is not what its about m8,if you was truely met whith christ
you would not need any one to tell you, lol, you would know yourself for sure.
thats why you have fallen back in to unbelieve, alot of people that go to church havent truely converted , there false converts ,some only go for the social aspect.

Both modern man and neanderthal had a common ancestor in Africa. Buy yes, you are strictly corrrect, more accurately I should have said an ancestor of neanderthals left Africa and then turned into neanderthals after that.

Funnily enough, putting it that way demonstrates the evolution even better. The ancestor of the neanderthal 'turned into' neanderthals (in Europe) due to the evolutionary benefits of doing so. Modern man's ancestor was living somewhere else at the time (Africa), so didn't evolve the same way at the same time.

All good stuff, the paper is interesting reading.

I'm with you on this JBR but i really think you should change your signature to read "primitive people of planet Earth" i think to believe we are the only beings in the universe is exceptionally narrow minded, even the god fearing Yanks sent a gold disc into space was it in the 60's informing all and sundry who and where we are.."To Boldly Go Where No Man Has Gone Before"

I think 'breadnbutter' has blown his cover with his user name.
Isn't Bread'n'Butter' cockney rhyming slang for 'Nutter'?
Breadnbutter must be a transplanted Cockney living in Bedfordshire.
His/Her comments rather givers us Athiests a lot of credibility.
He/She is just taking the PI55.
Your cover is Blown.

Oddly enough, I can relate to that - but in a different context. :) :) :) Maybe you can relate to this:

I said:
-- something that can only be experienced first hand - and if you have then you'll know it without any shadow of a doubt.

Sounds remarkably similar doesn't it. I wonder what a psychologist would have to say. :?: :?: :?:
