NATO doesn't have any interest in Africa. Nor do the majority of NATO nations have any remaining interests in the region.

Mother russia isn't as loud mouthed about what she's got. If anything, it would be to her interest to keep it quiet. There are times when being loud mouthed is advantageous. There are times when it is not. Now could be not. Often times, people mistake good fortune for ability. Change of circumstances bring these people back down to earth.
