Facias too high??

New roof fitted roughly 6 years ago but now leaking bottom end as per attached pictures. I removed a few bottom tiles and found a gully full of water...one of the pictures was taken at time of replacement for another reason and it looks like the roofer fitted the facias too high as per where the arrow is pointing. It looks like the leaks are through the nail holes in the lower end battons??
I'm now looking for a fix and was thinking of removing bottom row of tiles and gutters and cutting away some of the top section of the facia in line with the old wood facia below it.
Has anyone seen this type of thing before

I'm not a roofing expert just another DIYer, albeit I do a lot of this stuff but, I agree with you that any water ingress past the tiles is going to sit in that dip in the felt. Have you considered Eaves Protectors?

They are easy to fit, slide up under the felt and hopefully, will ease out that slope in the felt, removing the dip. Remember to overlap them longitudinally. I gave 8". Not sure of the official amount.

Yes fascia looks too high, what pitch is the roof?

Eaves Protectors look like a possible solution so appreciate your thoughts on that... I'm unsure what the pitch of the roof is unfortunately. Thanks
