Fault Finding: No end to End continuity of the Rn conductor

So what are the end to end readings for the live, neutral and cpc?
So with my £9.99 Amazon Multimeter I get:

r1 = 0.8
rn = 0.8
r2 = 1.2

So the values are at least consistent, but a bit higher than expected in my opinion. Unless I have a weird setting on this thing, wouldn't this imply a 110-115m length? Seems long, but not impossible. However, comparing that to my EICR and an old one from the previous owner, it looks like I am doing something wrong... values are almost double from the most recent EICR (see initial post).

The values from a 2021 EICR are
r1 = 0.21
rn = 0.21
r2 = 0.47

I can't really say if anything was amended on that circuit from 2021 until my 2023 EICR, but still I'd still assume I should get close to the 2023 numbers?

I think you need to get a known length of cable , at least 20 m and take a reading then compare it with real numbers

At £8.99 I suspect your purchase should placed in the nearest bin

I suggest it would make more sense to learn how to use it and understand what the readings really mean and Ristards question is vastly superior advice and heading towards that goal.

What do the ends of the leads connected together read?
This is golden… should’ve thought about that myself. It moves between 0.4 and 0.5. I also read these cheap meters are not good at very low resistances and it makes sense. Re-calibrating for above “base resistance” I am actually happy with the observed values.
