Favourite Christmas tipple?

Memory Lane time.....

Back in the early nineties, me and the future wife went to Gran Canaria for our first holiday together.

Where we discovered a bar (The Turbo Bar ), and I discovered Long Island Iced Tea.(y)
Or, more accurately, "teas". Lots of them.

I still find it strange that vodka, gin, tequila, rum, triple sec, lime, Coke, and ice tastes just like lemon tea.
Must have drunk gallons of the stuff, on that jolly(y)

Oooo Long island iced tea, I got well hammered on that once.

That's fairly potent

That's quite a mixture and probably fairly potent to boot! No doubt having one brings back some nice memories

I don't think I've drank one since, I dread to think how much one would cost, even if most places could lay hands on stuff like triple sec:eek:

Five measures of spirits, plus two stroke? One for contactless with the eyes closed, I reckon:confused:

I know the name but can't remember if I've ever tried one

Xmas is the only time I'm allowed whisky & for good reason.

There are only 5 whisky's to bother yourself with & my favourite is Laphroiag.

That's one of the more expensive ones

Is that one of the really super expensive ones?

Expensive whisky is for snobs who verbally masturbate when they talk about the difference.

There are only 5 that you need to bother with, Laphroiag is one of 'em & Dalwhinnie is another.

A bottle of any of the 5 single malts (blended is not whisky, it is an alcopop) should not cost you more than £40, but it does taste a LOT better if received as a gift.

When you've necked a bottle each of those 2 then I'll tell you the other 3.

Christmas = Liqueurs

Cointreau
Benedictine
Tia Maria
Cherry Brandy
Drambuie
Gran Marnier
Chambord
Amaretto

But not all at once. Gotta Pace yourself.

Ooh suit you sir, that's an Excellent list.
