Me too - and I'm a Man Utd fan. The BBCs top three sports stories on Wednesday were "Alex Ferguson retires", "Alex Ferguson retires - As It Happened" and "Alex Ferguson retires - All The Latest Developments"

Seriously, it was a big story but it was always going to happen one day and did we really need minute-by-minute updates. There really wasn't that much to the story - he decided it was time to retire, he retired - that's it isn't it??

As Jimmy Carr said on Wednesday night though - makes a nice change to see an elderly, male celebrity all over the news without it being about him being led into a police station / court....
