I've used them a few times, they are filled with neon gas and the glass envelopes are clear so they glow bright red/orange. There are also holes in the top which allow you to use another starter as a tool to aid removal of the old one. I like them a lot, seems to be less flicking on and off at switch on too.
Indeed it does,, thats news to me most like the old S2 and FS2 usually state single 4-22w 110-130 volt only, phillips green eco S2 seems to be the exception
