Do you know if the 'plasterboard' type screws are strong enough to hold kitchen wall units onto a false wall ????

Any of you guys had units fall off thw walls ???

i would find the studs and fix battens to these then the cubords to these, you can have whatever fixings you like, but how much strain will the plasterboard take, specially when cupboards are full

ive never seen one fall off, with usual loading, but they can come lose as the fixing makes the hole larger over time. the weight is pulling down and not out, so plasterboard is normally strong enough to take it. give the manufacturers a ring if you have any doubts
