Fixing wooden fence posts to wooden fence rails.

I think I'm going to hire a small breaker, problem is, it means i will have to do them all, 18 as quick as I can, otherwise it will cost be a bomb in hire fees.
I suppose you could dig round them before hiring, then hire the tool and break all into fragments, and dig out after hiring.

Don't forget your ear defenders and goggles.

What have you budgeted for hiring, and how big a breaker?
You can get a no-name one from eBay for £150. Stick it back on eBay when done.
Or buy one of the "used for one job" ones, but none of them seem to be delivering.

EDIT: on the other hand, HSS only want £30 to hire a breaker today, return Monday. So maybe buying a rubbish one isn't such a saving.

I'm not sure how to do the multi quote bit.
My wife has decided to get a man in that does.
To be honest, my nephew runs his own electrical company, they do a lot of the big posh houses.
He has a lot of contacts, obviously.
He has given us a number of a friend he has worked with in the past on various builds and specialises in fencing.
Many, many thanks to everyone who has taken the time to reply, with ideas and advice.

Seems a bit extreme to pay someone to come in and help you with your posts. And what about the fence, will he have a look at that too?

A DIYer will have an interest in doing a durable and thorough job on his own house.

Due to being 63 with one heart attack, Myalgic encephalomyelitis and Essential tremor (you should see me try and eat soup on a spoon)
I'm not a serious DIYer John.
