better a bit too big than a bit too small.

You can if necessary cut it with a breadknife or fine saw (easiest while still on the roll) or trim with big scissors, like wallpapering scissors.

Just ordering and both Knauff and most of it is glasswool, presume that’s good enough and I don’t need rock wool.

also there is some cheaper stuff which is perfect size for my joists by a company called Isover. I read it’s not as nice to work with (I can deal with that, It will be one day) and it’s cheaper. The ratings are the same as Knauff.

I guess this stuff is all pretty much the same and as the ratings are good enough there’s nothing I am missing here and it’s not essential to buy Knauff or rock wool?
