Wasn't it the left wing socialist tony benn and his devout followers who did most of the moaning about the eec in the early years?
Then your beloved corbyn took up the cause some years later when it had morphed into the corrupt eu. In between offering his support to the IRA.
And corbyn these days doesn't seem to have a clue whether to leave or remain.

The remoaners should be careful what they wish for, the 48% of the vote they achieved in the referendum was a pretty respectable result but a lot of people who voted remain were swayed by the scare stories put out by the BBC and others.
The over the top rhetoric about catastrophic collapse,by so called experts, people like Blair telling the public to think about the children didn't help either.
I know people who voted to remain because it was a case of better the devil you know than the one you don't, now that they know that the country didn't disintegrate puppies didn't die and the kids are still alright they would probably now vote to leave in a second referendum.

It would be very difficult to place a bet on the next referendum - even taking into account that the government has ruled a second one out - as a lot of remoaners will have seen the way that the EU are trying to mess us up, so'd vote leave, and a lot of the brexiteers are fed up with the government not holding to a firm line, and would vote remain; but it's more than likely that a second referendum to leave or stay would increase the leave vote, and one to decide on the terms, would vote to stay.
Oddly enough, I'd say that the only trustworthy politician at the moment, is May, because although she was a Remainer, she's got behind the result. Corbyn obviously won't tell the truth, as having shown himself to be a Eurosceptic all these years, he can't go along with the basic attitude of the party where they just oppose the governments stance regardless. He's between a rock and a hard place, and will never gain any real credibility for it until we leave, or stay, and can then show his true colours.

I was referring to the result of the referendum, it was claimed that if Britain voted to leave the EU there would be dire economic consequences ,if big business and the banks ect are going to leave the UK because of Brexit why aren't they leaving now before the deadline, why would they wait until the last minute.

God Vinty, haven't you realised that the Remoaners just twist that fact to suit their purpose, and automatically give a knee jerk reaction of " but we haven't left yet". They can't handle the truth, so they selectively ignore it. The big banks will not leave, they'll just do an Amazon trick of setting up an office with 12 people in Paris, and funnel all their profits trades and profits through it. No one's going to move en mass in the banking sector, and I doubt if the manufacturing divisions will do much either, as it wouldn't be cost effective; but new investment may well be halted until the sust has settled.
Businesses (big and small) STILL don't know what "brexit" actually is yet. No business is going to waste time and money to up sticks if this brexit caper turns out to be some wishy-washy pointless reversible exercise.
A lot already have their finger on the trigger though.

The Torygraph describes it as a "secret plot." Obviously they don't know the meaning of the word "secret" when they use it to describe a campaign which widely advertises itself, and is reported in newspapers, radio, TV and the net. Bear in mind that the article was written by Nick Timothy, a former chief of staff to Prime Minister Theresa May. Perhaps he is not so much stupid and ill-informed, more deceitful and dishonest. Typical Quitter.

A bit disingenuous of the best for Britain site to claim they need money to fight the governments extreme Brexit, if the terms of Brexit have not yet been finalised how the hell does best for Britain know that we are in for an extreme Brexit.

Is this the same George Soros who 'broke the bank of England' and made millions by using his wealth to force a run on the pound, maybe it is right that he should give some of his ill-gotten gains back or is he at his work again hoping to destabilise Britain in order to create some sort of financial chaos so that he and the other parasites can benefit.
