It's hard to believe that article in the paper.
Someone accused of being a member of a political party based on hear say?
Sounds like thirties germany.

But given the way this country is going it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if its true.

i always say its irrelevant what parties or associations you are a member off its your intent that matters
there is many a person belonging to mainstream party or group that are evil [including labour libcons etc]
and may a person belong to evil groups that simply don't understand the full implications or agree with most off the content
if its a legal organization it should not count in fact if the interview panel think ukip are racist its there interpretation no more no less its what is inside the fosterers heads that matters when it comes to fostering

They are former Labour voters. RBC is Labour-run?

Sour grapes?

In Derby, if you have strong Christian beliefs, you can't foster kids. Dunno how our local council feel about political party allegiance though. ;) ;)

How long before your own kids are removed due to your 'political beliefs'?

So she pockets £2400 per month to look after two kids? Essentially a £40k salary?

When my daughter had a breakdown (and was put in hospital) Social Services approached me and my wife to see if we'd look after the grandkids. As we both worked full time (at that time), we asked about any financial help, only to be told that "No financial help is available for relatives, looking after 'family' members." They expected one of us to pack up work and look after 4 grandkids (2 were preschool age) without any help from them.

Where is the link to this Joe?

The reason for asking is one of the wifes mates used to foster until about 2 years ago and she got nothing like this kind of money.

So Linda is paid roughly £4.50 per hour to look after 2 children, and out of that £4.50 per hour, she has to feed, clothe and pay for everything they need.....not much when you show the bigger picture is it Joe?

Its £600 quid too much at the end of the day.
If they don't have the financial means to look after them then they should not be allowed to foster.

I suspect their would have been a time when the financial issue came high on the list and not alledged political allegiance.
