Reminds me of Switzerland - I think they have a law that requires every town to have a drinking water fountain / tap that is always flowing.
in fact, these free water supplies are even on a completely separate system so if there is a failure in the public water supply, people still have access to clean, drinkable water.

Whereas we still get hose pipe bans sometimes (although not for quite a few years now?) and are one of the wettest countries in the world!

I would like to see every person on this planet live in a safe, healthy environment. However, am I going to start sending £x of my hard-earned to these places when my opening sentence often holds true? Nope.

Most of the aid given is tied aid which has to be spent on UK services or goods. I think about 80% plus is tied aid. Aid is used as wielding soft power.

When I went to Shagaluf in mid 80s, my guts were never right the whole time. $h1tt1ng through the eye of a needle for most of the two weeks.
