Biliou,,,, are u sure there's no god,
where,s your facts.
surley hundreds of millions of people world cant be fooled
I don't know where you think I can find facts to prove or disprove my opinion. As for people being fooled, it wasn't that many years ago that people thought the world was flat we look back and ridicule them now, perhaps in a few hundred years people will look back at our era and laugh at our beliefs.
Just read Richard Dawkins 'The God Delusion'. His logical and objective look at all religions is I think very enlightening. Unlike religious fanatics, Dawkins is quite willing to be proved wrong in his atheist views, if someone can present a strong enough argument.
Disproving the existence of Any God is impossible. It is like disproving the existence of extra terrestrial life. You can only prove that it exists by finding it . If you don't find it it does not prove it does not exist as you just can't search the entire Universe and the idea will still prevail that you just haven't looked in the right place yet - adinfinitum. I know there will be people who say they have found God. Well no they haven't, what they have done is convinced themselves of the existence of a God for some reason but they certainly haven't met God. All any off us can and should do, is examine impartially the evidence available as advocated by Prof. Dawkins and arrive at your own conclusion. For Dawkins and me, the overwhelming evidence is that it is highly unlikely that Any God exists, and if one does exist He/She/It must be an extremely Nasty Person/Thing to advocate the teaching that all religions seem to promote. Note that the conclusion is that it is 'highly unlikely that a God Exists' and Not 'There isn't a God'.
It is a pity religious fanatics cannot be as equally accomodating and say that 'It is Highly Likely a God does exist', and not be so unequivocal that 'A God does sxist'
For Me, Atheism is the only Logical Conclusion, but read The God Delusion objectively and at least if you have read and Understood the Bible/Koran/The Budda Thingy etc etc, and the counter arguments in The God Delusion, then at least you can be in command of ALL of the facts and not just the biased ones in the particular religion in which you are interested. Being in command of ALL of the facts then you are at liberty to decide on which side of the fence you fall. In my case it was a great big Jump to the atheist side as this ,to me, is the only logical conclusion until someone can present a stronger argument for the alternative. There has not been a convincing argument in thousands of years so, I doubt there will be a good enough argument in my life time. Maybe when I am infront of the Pearly Gates I will regret this view but at least I will have the excuse that I considered all of the facts, and 'Gods' facts were in fact very unconvincing, so at least give me the benefit of thniking all the evidence through.
I urge All Believers and Non Believers to read objectively Richard Dawkins 'The God Delusion' , and then decide. Just as long as you have studied all the information available to you.
