I much prefer to drive in France, apart from other reasons, the distances always seem to reduce quicker than in UK.

I don't often quote you, DC, so my apologies.

The reason why distances in France appear less than in Britain is simple: they don't do traffic jams, road works and ubiquitous cones.

Bet there a bloody big queue behind RNjohndeere's tractor.

Assuming he's finally fixed it.

It's extremely well, thanks, better than it's been for a good while.
The right fiddle brake has been seized now for a long time, 'cos I rarely use 'em. But they're both free now.
And although it was struggling to start in the cold weather before, it's now starting at -5 without any problem. So I'm well chuffed.
Still got some work to do on the trailer though, new jack seals, (and clevis pins 'cos I fchuked the originals taking the jack off), one rear side light and brakes to adjust.
It'll keep me busy.

I've found I'm pretty good at responding to drivel with even more mind-numbingly boring drivel.
I see you're having to read my posts before declaring them to be drivel these days.

You can put him on ignore like I have, and threads are a lot less of a chore to read. Used it on his coathanger incarnation too. His half page yawnathons are reduced to a narrow strip saying that the post is hidden , so a thread that is 8 pages to everyone else is only 3 pages to me.

Still get a glimpse of lefty spiel though when people quote him. Just serves as a reminder of what I'm not missing.

I've only ever put one troll on 'ignore', here or anywhere else, but I'm afraid I can't remember his nom de plume. In any event, it was no doubt one of the earlier identities adopted by Dropclanger.

Rest assured, though, that although he congratulates himself on the fact that I have actually read one of two of his blatherings, most of them I quickly skip through on the grounds that they have absolutely no bearing on, nor contribute anything of any value to the discussion!

Nocon doesn't have an ounze of intelligence and, as a rule, I always tie him up in knots. He's always putting his foot in it and making a rod for his own back. Although I do troy not to go on furlong. I'll always leave him miles behind because he's just not in the same league.

I suspect this will knock him off his perch and he'll make a bolt for the usual responses.
