English law permits one person to kill another in self-defence only if the person defending him or herself uses no more than "reasonable force"- so it was quite reasonable for him to do what he did, a murder charge would have been rediculous. On the other hand, if he had blown the scumbag away with an AK47 PC Plod might have had a case.

I feel sorry that some kids have lost their dad, but he chose to bully and pick one those weaker than himself, so he was not a responsible parent.....
