and then we have Rod Stewart getting all offended - a bloke that released a single titled "Good Morning Little Schoolgirl"
And the rest
Wake up, Maggie, I think I got somethin' to say to you
It's late September and I really should be back at school
I know I keep you amused, but I feel I'm being used
Oh, Maggie, I couldn't have tried any more
You led me away from home
Just to save you from being alone
You stole my heart and that's what really hurts
The mornin' sun when it's in your face really shows your age
But that don't worry me none, in my eyes, you're everything
I laughed at all of your jokes, my love, you didn't need to coax
Oh, Maggie, I couldn't have tried any more
You led me away from home
Just to save you from being alone
You stole my soul, and that's a pain I can do without
All I needed was a friend to lend a guiding hand
But you turned into a lover, and mother, what a lover, you wore me out
All you did was wreck my bed, and in the morning, kick me in the head
Oh, Maggie, I couldn't have tried any more
You led me away from home
'Cause you didn't wanna be alone
You stole my heart, I couldn't leave you if I tried
I suppose I could collect my books and get on back to school

Given his latest outburst, one has to wonder whether wallace has the same media advisor as the duke of pork.

And the rest
Didn't abba sing about young girls at one point back in the day?

Not sure about what the situation was in sweden at the time, but it was definitely a case of dodgy lyrics when played elsewhere...

But the point is even older guys have to accept they have to change their language towards women otherwise equality will never happen.

So drop the '70's style innuendo...

benny hill ain't fun anymore!

Wallace has proved he's unsuitable for the position. What he said may have been ok in a pub but in the employ of the BBC, it's not. They DID haul him up in front of the boss, but he evidently didn't respect that.

Add the implication that m.a. women of any age don't matter, and he gets an F O you Jerk. from me.

It might have been ok to screen those upcoming episodes until he opened his gob.
Not now. The BBC should - does - have Higher Standards, and needs to show it.

He's put the proverbial nail in his own coffin with his recent posts.

And what we have to remember is this. Boundaries. Lines in the sand. Whilst I agree we seem to be going too far with some of this (e.g. trigger warning at the start of Antiques Roadshow) we also have to remember much of what was considered 'banter' back in the day probably wasn't much of the time.

For example, for those on here with daughters, think of this. Would you be comfortable thinking of her e.g. in an office and a male colleague saying 'wow, I could have plenty of fun with those!' whilst staring at her chest?

Don't worry mate, it's just banter.
