Grenfell Tower

Well, the government has made an announcement that it will be dismantled.
They are going to wait until after the anniversary but it's a coming down.

After grenfell our council checked the cladding on buildings and it came back as safe . At a meeting when the head of housing was asked are you going to let the tenants know its safe so they are at ease , he replied we are not telling them anything as they wont believe us ....Everyone at meeting looking at each other thinking wtf

Fred Dibnah could've done it in a morning and still been down the pub for lunchtime.
Blimey that's a bit slow...

Your israeli mates could have it down in seconds...

And you wouldn't have to go to the trouble/expense of an exclusion zone, or inform the 'collateral damage' that it was going to happen.

Your Palestinian mates could have raped and slaughtered the entire population of that block more than two times over in just a few hours and taken 250 local residents as hostages on their way home.

This is totally unrelated except that, as somebody who is interested in language and how it changes, I have noticed over the past ten years or so that "two times" has largely replaced "twice".

I wasn't fazed by heights in my younger days, but even back then, not a cat in hell's

I stopped work last Sept but had quite a bit of ladder and scaffold work last year, even then, there were things I did 5 or 10 years earlier earlier that I couldn't do, not for want of trying, but you lose your bottle, just a bit each year as you get older.
**** knows how Fred did half of what he did, elf and safety doesn't seem be high up his list either.

Bloke I know from openwater swimming is from Bolton.

His dad was an HSE inspector.

I sent him these videos.
He said that his dad had a number of run ins with Fred over his methods, including catching Fred using a bosun's chair to swing from one chimney to the other :ROFLMAO:
