If you can't see a car approaching in good visibility without lights, you should not be driving...

My visibility would be so much better if it wasn't for the tattered remains of all those bl**dy sticky labels on the windscreen!!!

That tape around the end of bundles of copper!!

That reminds me. This isn't a grump so much as a mystery. Whenever I wind some black plastic tape around the end of a wire, I notice that there is an edge where the tape finishes. I make a point of checking that the edge is there because --

Whenever I come to remove the black plastic tape from the end of a wire, there is no edge in sight!   It has vanished form our universe. Did it disappear through a hole in space-time or did somebody cut it off while I wasn't looking?   I haven't got the patience to sit and watch a taped-up wire to see what actually happens. I just know that I'll end up hacking at the tape until it comes off in little pieces. :( :( :(

Re: Sidelights, I was referring to a day like last Sunday, when it's pouring down with rain, the motorway is awash with spray, visibility is poor, and the bl**dy sidelight squad wonder why you can't see 'em coming up behind you :?:
