OMG trolls how dare you question someone's military background.

My grandad fought in a world war he didn't like to talk about it I've got his medals as a reminder, show some respect.

Anyone can sit on a forum and be brave, grow up.

He is a coward and a pip squeek thats how. Hides behind a computer screen so nobody can knock that one tooth he has left in his mouth out. Typical handy man telling people. he is a joiner. OMG could you imagine him appearing at your door to do some work, you would shut it straight back

I don’t think you have any military experience
I served for 9 years because of my training it made perfect sense. Sometimes wished I was back in to be honest. Why do you dispute my service? I am pretty sure I won't be the only person on here to have served.

People haven't changed much really, it's just the media that wants you to think they have. If you use the word woke when talking about other people you don't know, you're the one who's lost your grit.

People have different opinions. So what?

No doubt, it was you that mentioned extension leads.
well you didn't say fibre optic, totally different to a long lead. Anyways as I said, these are short range and good for certain things but you cant just use one type of drone the same as you cant just use one tank or one plane.

I think questioning somebody's military service is one of the most shameful and cowardly things a person can do. I honestly have no idea why @noseall and @Notch7 keep doing it. The only reason seems to be to upset you. They have both gone down an enormous amount in my opinion, and I am sure most of the forum thinks the same. It is widely known how difficult many ex-forces find it to adjust back into civilian life. This really needs to stop.

I havent the stomach for a long war now myself. I dont think many have who want better things in their lives, when we fought in WW2 there was a deep sense of pride and no such thing as the internet, computer games and all the rest of the luxuries that we have become accustomed to. War and suffering is not on most peoples radar.

incredibly difficult to adjust into civillian life, certainly in my case it wasn't an easy transition, most days I want to go back and then some days I am glad to be out. I cannot explain it as it is so strange to have been in an environment for so long that is so organised and your life is organised for you to suddenly feeling very alone with things. I suppose similar to those who have been in prison for a long time, they will find it a struggle too I would think.

I know, I didn't say you could. They have a 10km range which is useful on the front line.

Doubt this country would be capable of fighting a major war
I doubt very much that Britain still has got this true grit and to sustain us through another long war. Too many woke views and ideals which wasn't even a thing back in those days. Judging by the type of responses you get on this site for example. Not a bloody chance. Thoughts on this?

Your Probably right

I doubt it either ???

It'd be like a game of Call of Duty for them but don't let them know that when they are dead, they are dead and they can’t just push the reset button.,
Obviously none of us really know how we'd react in any given situation until faced with it.

In a parallel universe, I can imagine if Scotland had been independent of England all my life, and then England started to invade trying to take Scotland by force, I'd be prepared to take up arms to defend my country. I suspect many of you would be the same i.e. if England came under attack and you were called on.

Or yoof would (hopefully) surprise us in a positive way if the call came ...
