Heatline

it is not heatline's fault for poor installations or no show installers

not directly no, but selling boilers in sheds and builders merchants always encourages trouble. Just ask Protherm

i fully agree to be honest. it is a price heatline was willing to pay as they made major in roads in to the uk. it was the only way in to a comparative market and have the massive growth it had.

my job is not to defend any boiler make(it is not like it is a football team).
or to say one is better than the other.

i fit heatline boilers because it is what is best for me, my customers and the area i work in. i know the faults that heatline have better then most installers as i am also a service agent for them.

if a customer phone me two years down the line(btw all models sold outside b&q have two year warranty) i would be falling over my self getting there to fix it

it is not heatline's fault for poor installations or no show installers

anyway the solaris is being replaced with the "sargon" so we will see how that pans out

mehran would you recommend a heatline capriz 25? it will be fitted on a clean system along with a magnaclean. Whats faults have you come across with them? i Have seen it priced at 410 inclusive flu vat and delivery and comes with a 2 year warranty!

Its a very well designed boiler with good quality cxomponents.

Its such a pity that they are usually fitted by the unregistered and that gives them a bad reputation.

Lets take the pump!

Is a Vaillant boiler a good boiler with a Grunfoss pump?

If so then why isn'nt Heatline an equally good boiler as they share the same Grunfoss pump!

Ere Ere Whats the point of fitting a "better class" boiler that costs twice as much when some smackhead is likely to come and pinch it or a tenant moves out and takes the boiler with them.
Horses for courses. I wouldn't recommend a heatline in the "posh end" where customers pay more and expect a decent brand name.
Taking a look at the car on the drive is a pretty good indicator of what they expect from a boiler. Here's my rough guide just for a laugh. I suppose it would be better if there were surveys to back it up
Mondeo man will have a Baxi 105e a 105HE or a Duotec depending on the age of their car.
Other Ford owners will go for a Potterton
Rover man - Glow Worm
Mercedes man will have a Worcester
Audi man will have a Vaillant
Fiat owners would be lost without their Ferolli
Renault or Citroen drivers will have a C&M or perhaps an Ariston
Those with cars over 10 years old will have whatever boiler was fitted when they moved in and keep fixing it. Except those whose boiler broke down and they had to get a Heatline or Ravenheat because thats all they could afford.
Those who have Smart cars always seem to have a solar panel on their roof.
Pedestrians and cyclists always seem to have cheaper end boilers and why do students always seem to have Saunier Duvals?

all the vaillants currently in production use the WILO pumps not grundfos.

you could do another list on different ethnic groups. . . . . . .

In that case Vaillant have moved to a cheaper pump!

That leaves the Heatline as having a better and more expensive pump!

Vaillant carried out an audit on their pump supplies (they buy over a million pumps a year) and found the wilo to be more reliable. They also fell out with grundfos over some hydroblocks (plastic mouldings) grundfos made for the glow worm range. The wilo's are very good pumps imo.

it is a good boiler but it is only a 10 liter per min boiler. for a little more you could get the capriz 28 or a 30/35kw solaris. the most important thing is getting it installed correctly on a clean system.

heatline is here to stay, the other posters are just going to have to come to terms about it

heatline have just made a load of the bedford staff redundant. Vaillant Uk are considering winding up the boiler manufacturing business and keeping the radiators and aircon arm "demir dockum". ;)

mmm...be a sad day if it is true and they do decide to close down heatline boilers

there is some really nice people at bedford be a shame to see them out of a job.

the office/admin side is being transfered to belper (glow worm). Vaillant are making a decision on the future of the brand at high level, outcome of which will be made public soon. (this is from the horses mouth)

ive been told that heatline in bedford are closing all staff have been given 2 months notice and all boilers and stock moved to vailiant at derby. Only going to suport 2 models of boilers the new sargon and the gloworm they make so beware
