Heatline

So Vaillant bought them to shut them down.

normal business behaviour, shouldn't be surprised.

When i worked for A to Z Couriers they deliberately ran a loss business in the area of a small family firm where the boss had built it up all his life and wanted to pass it on to his kids. They brought him to his knees until he sold to them. Then they shut the business down and attacked another one. One of the partners was constantly on the lookout for smaller organisations to drive out of business.

When they had achieved sufficient market share in this way they themself were swallowed up by Securicor.

so they started the whole process again under a new name.

prefectly normal entrepreneurial behaviour, which has nothing to do with whether a boiler is good or anything like that.

I have an update-they are keeping heatline running but cutting office staff and incorporating the organisation into Vaillant to replace Saunier duval in the uk.

Are bmw better Hyundai?

As they have fewer faults than BMWs and hence more reliable, I would say, yes.

At least the indicators work on Hyundai and aren't mostly driven by W*****$

BMW have serious competition for the idiot market from Audi these days... You have to run with the pack to be a serious individual..

I can't think of a European car that I would want to buy these days, I'd still rather have a Toyota that doesn't stop than a VW that doesn't go.... My Transporter has snapped yet another drive shaft, ho hum, another £500

ive been told that heatline in bedford are closing all staff have been given 2 months notice and all boilers and stock moved to vailiant at derby.................That's not good news I hope it's not the case, as any dealings I had with them they were a smashing bunch of people.

Great boilers for the money, if you don't believe me; buy a cheapy, strip it down & put it back together. Believe me, you'll look a bit closer at the product in the future and as someone else has said, they're dead easy to work on.

The Landlords luv em. If they are fitted correctly, fully commissioned & fitted in a clean system, they'll give years of faithful service.

Large corporate groups seem to do a much better job f***ing up smaller brands, after buying them, than they ever manage as their competitor.

Over the last month I have been to three heatlines for repairs.

Two were dirt in the plate because of a careless installer.

The other was a stuck water flow turbine. Just like the Vaillants after opening it and washing it out I could not find any dirt or anything wrong with it.

Vaillant did not buy Heatline because of the cheap boilers they made. They wanted the sales and distribution facilities to expand their Vaillant boilers into Turkey.

They have now ceased selling the Heatline boilers to the independents any more. You have to get them at B&Q and I think Builder Depot.
