I think with the lever valve facing the front I wouldn't be able to shut the inspection panel

Yes, those plastic stop taps are carp!

I never touch them, they always leak.

Guess you've never seen an access panel that clips off front ways? Instead of hinged

Thinking of splitting it and just swapping the head. Or at least having a look at it

Would you give option of either repair or cut out back of unit for a brass valve?
