You seem to be quoting a statement to do with one thing (movement of people) to support something else (economy and trade).

There were a myriad of other claims as regards the economy/trade, but it all adds up to the same thing - a tissue of lies from quitters!

I think you have to be careful We don’t have high repossessions forcing supply in a falling market - the ripple out hasn’t taken effect properly outside London/SE.

You could still buy in to a falling market. For london/SE the window is 3-6 months. This time next year there won’t be the bargains even if prices are still low. Maybe take the risk if you have the cash to ride a fall, but if you are mortgaging outside SE, you may well get burned.

I think flats in Manchester City centre have been a good investment.

round my way (surrey) you are seeing places which are 15-20% lower than 18 months ago. I looked at a retirement house in swanage at the weekend and prices only about 10% down.

But nobody here is desperate to selll, so the market is full of rubbish.

Maybe and the faster train links will help. But history tells us that the NW doesn’t fair well when people need to sell.
 
I think it’s an interesting market now however. A chance to buy in at 2012-2014 prices. I was looking for bargains in 2009-2011 there was nothing nice out there.

though with hindsight anything would have made money. The main slower in London isn’t Brexit. it 2nd property tax. A fair chunk on a £450k house.
