How do I remove this thumbturn? No screws!

No, but mine is identical to the Eclipse one in the original post. I just can’t seem to remove it no matter how hard I try! Going to have another go at the weekend with a bit of WD40 and see if that works!

You might be able to shift it with a rubber strap wrench. Search for "Boa Wrench"

Also useful for jar and bottle lids

And dismantling binoculars.
