How to repair roof leak?

Subsequently, a little water is seeping in

Based on the pics, can any roofers explain the best/simplest way to repair this job

A lead flashing - ANY lead flashing, would be good.

The correct way is to have say a 150mm margin of un-rendered masonry between the roof surface and the the render bottom. The lead flashing should travel a distance horizontally so that it weathers the tile head (100mm+ or so) and vertically about 150mm. The render bottom is then finished with a bell bead, so that drip of the bead just covers the lead chase joint.

I am not confident/comfortable using lead due to a lack of experience at the moment.

Is there a simpler/ solution for the DIY'er?

Like perhaps chasing the crack and filling with some sand/cement/silicone?

Warm sunny weather and chilly nights are your enemy. At the moment that roof is flexing and moving. Unless you fit a product that has separation from the wall-to-roof, it is likely to split again. Mortar does not like to stick to smooth slate. You may get away with a flash band repair on a nice warm day.

can a diy'er with no roofing experience, but with patience and research do a decent lead flashing job?

Depends upon access, dexterity, available tools etc. Not the hardest job, as long as you understand gravity and water travel. Always begin at the lowest point.

Hi! The issue seems to be with the flashing where the roof meets the wall, as it doesn’t look properly sealed. Start by cleaning the area, removing debris and old sealant to allow for proper adhesion.
