26% is 1.944% a month compounded. It is flatter now.
There's a dividend version which pays 5.6% from it iirc, while the rest grows (atthe moment).

Me - zippo BUT I do get my guaranteed interest from Chase from the sum I took out of PB's each month

Misses - 20.7%

Son - zippo

20% in a year? That must be statistically, really rare. Did you get a whopper prize?

To those of us using Close Brothers for their good rates, keep an eye on them/the news. They got into hot water with too many car loans going "delinquent".
There was a period when cars were hard to get so s/h prices shot up. Prices crashed (especially Teslas!) so people are left with a loan which is far higher than the value of the car - negative equity.
There are arguments going through the courts about disclosures of commissions yada yada, which may at some point have a bearing on the firm's rates, at least. They are a strong company, but there is turbulence.
It would in any case be prudent to keep holdings below the FSCS £85k limit.

I find CB a delight to deal with, unlike too many others.
