That's what I did - or did I get that wrong.
You probably missed out how long would be needed for them to work.

And in the meantime all sorts of other things could happen that would change that.

So the way Trump shows the tariffs, they can't work for the benefit of USA

So it's all bs, and increased costs for his country

As I understood it the theory behind tariffs is to make it more expensive for US consumers to buy the cheap imports so that US factories can then step in and make the goods cheaper than the imports and the US will then be buying US and boost the economy.
Provided that US workers in US factories are prepared to work for Chinese level wages, under Chinese standard conditions, and the US government is willing to offer soft loans to the factory owners

What could be easier?

He can make Nato stronger, just by keeping Denmark, Greenland and the rest of Europe as friends not adversaries.

Just by doing that Greenland is an asset.

The latest poll shows that 85% of Greenlanders do not want to be part of the USA. I think the days when the USA was where everyone seemed to want to go are long over. Maybe Trump doesn't realise. It is no longer a glamorous and exciting place to me. I think of it as an angry and dysfunctional country. There are much nicer developed countries.

But Greenlandians traditionally don't want to be part of Denmark either.

What to do?

I don't know. But it can't be too hard to get the locals onside in a way which secures Greenland for the West. Obviously lots of money will help. But actually finding out what they want will be key. That is what China will do.

It’s better being part of Denmark than being part of a country that has the worlds biggest c****t as president.

Ultimately, it's up to the Greenlandians.
And here is their answer:

They overwhelmingly do not want to have a c*** in charge

New opinion poll shows 85% of Greenlanders do not want to join US

Despite Donald Trump claiming the island’s population ‘want to be with us’, Greenlanders overwhelmingly rejected the idea

They don't want to be governed by anyone other than themselves. They do want investment in infrastructure, defence and mining. An area where Denmark has failed them for an awful lot of years.

A softly softly approach by others whilst appearing to be backed into a corner by trump could easily make them even more against USA.

Trump needs to up his game and take his stupid threats off the table
