But what's most obvious to me = what's age really got to do with love, kindness, true feelings?

Try telling that to:
a) his wife of 25 years who has had his kids and worked her fingers to the bone looking after him, his house and his kids while he can a**e lick his way to the top.
b) the young lady when he inevitably realises he has been an idiot of the highest order and goes running home to his wife with his tail between his legs (which, let's face it, is the best place for it)

Why do you presume this stereo-type character walking hand-in-hand during his lunch hour enjoying being in the company of a lovely girl? He and/or she might be single, divorced, no kids at all?

Love has no age.
