Ignorance and laziness have won

Around Manchester, many people pronounce words with a "ttle" ending as if the t's are k's.

Bottle = Bokkle

Kettle = Kekkle

Not being racist here, but nearly all black people I know cannot pronounce the word 'Ask'. They all pronounce it as 'Arks'.

I think you'll find that is not caused by skin colour, but by living in your district

So yes, you are.

Ouch!, sorry Motty, JohnD (purveyor of racism) reckons you are. Personally, I thing its culture, and the word tends to be a 'gangsta' type word, mind you, there's a lot of white yoof emulating similar language tendencies.

It's "aks" (like "axe") around certain quarters of the hole that is Brum....

I once dated someone from Denmark while at uni and couldn't pronounce anything starting with a V. Came out as a W. Found out to my amusement when talking about classic wampire movies :)

No, I’m not. Plenty of examples on the web, none of them are from my 'district' as far as I can tell. Have a look at this but please, heed the warning at 0:38. It’s there especially for people like you.

Note what people she has a problem with.

Here's the one for Festive.

Some of the comments are depressing.

Things like "I didn't know that" and "I wasn't taught that".
It should not have been necessary to teach it, should it?

Nor were you taught not to "of a cup have tea", were you? Just thick.

Indians do not seem to be able to pronounce V either.

There are lots.

Germans are the other way round with V and W.
Germans, Irish and others can't pronounce 'TH'.

The "TH" sound doesn't appear in many other European languages, that's why they can't pronounce it properly.
There are lots of sounds in other languages that we British have difficulty with too.
e.g. the Italian "gli" as in tagliatelle.
