Ill and Bored

Lying in bed. Left work at lunchtime feeling like a bag of ****. Aching all over, shivering etc etc. Can't sleep. Wondering how many days off sick since started self-employed in 1999. I reckon excluding accidents/hospital this is about 3rd day in 6 yrs. (lads work for me often seem to be sick on Mondays, strange, that.)
Is this par for course for self-employed/bosses?

I know someone will say they never had a day off in a hundred years, I know a few people who are never ever ill, both employed and s/e.

Can only comment on the IT industry, average number of days off sick (paid) for a permy is 11 per year average number for a contractor is <2 (unpaid).

i seem to work through it when i have a job on but its never seems that bad. only time i really get ill is when i have some time off. Its almost as if the body just gives up when it gets to holiday time!
