I'm going to let your tyres down

I assume you also view those protesting about 'insulate britain' as being 'scum' in the same way?

Of course it forced a government U-turn, so is that a bad thing in your opinion?

And as for people's views of SUVs, could you tell us why they are necessary for the school/shopping run?

Why is a large Merc or Jag necessary?

Why is anything larger than a Mini necessary in most cases?

Why is your house bigger than mine?

Do you NEED that second pint of crap lager, along with its carbon footprint ?

Why are you jealous of my new car?

Thinking about so-called pretend SUV's and insults to the marque as seen by many I've drawn up a list. Before that, years ago when
we had the brand news E class AMG a relative was talking about cars and they said their son has bought a car like yours. When i asked them what is they said !a mercedes... like yours a mercedes but i don't know a lot about cars." A few months later we saw them at a wedding and I said to their son, 'congrats on your new merc what is it"? He said it as "B class bought used, se" - Not the chaps fault but the parents for bragging BS :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

The insult/joke cars and that imo insults the marque!!

BMW - bm1 saloon - looks like a kids toy a serious lol.

Jaguar E pace - fartius of a joke, lol

Landrover/Range Rover Evoke a massive insult to the brand looks like a pram
on wheels, a bad one at that

Audi Q3 - an insult to Adui

Mercedes GLB, a pumped up A class that looks like a fart on wheels.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

They are targeting the wrong people. This is the latest trend that I'm seeing everywhere. 200 litres per hour

Insulate Britain are scum. There's nothing wrong with what they want, but their methods of protesting make them scum.

Same with letting tyres down. It just annoys people to the point that the message being promoted is entirely lost.

Its only a matter of time until one of these selfish style protestors gets seriously injured by inconveniencing the wrong person, and when that happens they won't get any sympathy from me.

If you take another perspective, a protest is a demonstration against something ( an action or a policy) that has, can or will seriously inconvenience some people. Therefore, a protest is against something that is seriously inconveniencing or harming others.
To take such serious objection to a protest would indicate that you support the initial action, and you don't want it stopped or prevented.

To take some examples, e.g. war in Ukraine, or climate change, which both are seriously inconveniencing some, killing others, or destroying livelihoods, etc.
How far is a protest allowed to go, against such actions, before it becomes too inconvenient?

Nonsense, none of that follows.

A protest does not have to seriously inconvenience others. Eg shouting and banner-waving, a sensible march, a "vigil".
Taking serious objection to someone letting tyres down says nothing about the sentiment behind the original action.
If someone's protest breaks the law then the executive (police) must intervene, it's their job.

It is a form of envy slagging off what others drive and thats a fact.

I've seen it at work "i'd never buy a car like that" then at another time you hear them brag
about what someone they know has bought often a nice, big car.

Parasites will often slag off 4x4 drivers just because they can't afford a proper 4x4 and I'm not talking re ****, jacked-up bottom end cars.

You can spot them a mile off they can't hide their envy and post abuse, absurd comments just because they can't afford a puka 4x4.

What clowns forget is all pika 4x4 cost well over 40k where you pay additional road taxes, often use more fule, the servicings is often more expensive as are the tyres etc as is often the insurance etc and therefore contribute more to the economy.

Then you get the other clowns buy an olde car that they can ill afford to run keep road legal and slag off the car as "too expensive to repair, not good.." but the bottom line is they want the proper/puka 4x4 big car but lack the brain cells to work hard, earn a decent wage, spend and save wisely and try not to run before you can walk, lol.

What a revolting post.

A protest is expressing objection, raising your voice and getting political pressure on those in power to change. This is criminal damage in the name of "good". Fostered by recent unsuccessful prosecutions. They key difference, is these cases will be heard in magistrates courts and not before a jury as the damages/value are low. magistrates don't tend to understand the law very well and like to convict on a balance of guilt, rather than reasonable doubt basis. They wont be interested in perceived technical defences no matter how strong.

Protests or demonstrations never used to be designed to inconvenience people. They used to consist of marches or gatherings of large numbers of people at strategic locations to demonstrate the strength of support for something. Yes, large numbers of people gathering might cause inconvenience as a consequence, but they weren't designed with the intention of inconvenience as their aim.

These demonstrations designed to inconvenience other people, like blocking main roads or glueing themselves to trains, are essentially blackmail. Its no longer sufficient to show the strength of feeling against something, the Insulate Britain/extinction rebellion type protestors aren't just raising awareness of their cause or demonstrating the numbers of people that support their cause, they are trying to force the government into change through direct action that causes damage to other people's lives.

Insulate Britain haven't changed anything in my opinion, other than to turn the majority of the country against them. This 'letting down tyres' childish behaviour will only have the same affect.

It's not the magistrates fault as sadly too mant people pretend to care but in reality don't until it happens to them.

Trust me, if a magistrate was going out for an important appt/pick up kid etc and then they noted their tyre/s had been defeated, they'd take a different view, fact.

A parasite at one of my work places often bragged about "live and let live s long as its within the law" then one day came in f/ing and blinding I asked the parasite what was up. someone that had moved in a couple of doors away from tehm had several cars often parked their van/car in front of their home.
I lol, and lol and rofl and his face went red and I reminded him re the law of parking road-legal vehicles and "live and let live" and told him he could do F all about it other than do what we done buy a property with parking for several cars like we have - those sitting close by bust out lol.

You need one to get around on our horrendously kept roads.

In Bristol our useless council spends a fortune on small areas of the roads with spanking new traffic calming, bike lanes, red coloured tarmac, bollards, etc, etc - but neglect the rest of the roads which are full of pot holes. We're paying more taxes, but getting worse roads.

So you think sanctions against Russia should not seriously inconvenience Russians, nor anyone else. Sanctions are a form of proest.

Which seriously inconvenience some, some who may not be party to the original offending action or policy.

It's a minor protest against those involved in, what they perceive, as a major or reckless damaging policy or action.

Some of the issues that attract such major disruption can be perceived as morally, criminally or recklessly damaging society or the environment.

None of that follows. To straw-man mischaracterise anything and everybody just to be able to scratch around to find a childish argument, is just trolling.

To fail to present an intelligent counter argument, and resort to silly accusations is trolling.

I don't need to counter childish junk. I pointed out why your original post made no sense. You didn't defend it, you just posted more crap, like a troll. Stop it!
