Does the company have any experience of any other routes? I assume they must have some experience of something - perhaps this is Goves' platitude we don't like experts taken to the ultimate conclusion? Anyone can bid for contracts as long as they have no understanding or experience.

Since the tunnel many of the ferry routes around the South East have struggled with operators dropping routes or going bust

Such as, Newhaven -Dieppe, Ramsgate -Ostende. Dover -Boulogne.
