Still same issue.That sounds like the fan just sucking up air. Take the front of ceiling vent off and see what happens
No vibration. I have two of the same fans and both do same. The only problem is I can't move them further due to lack of room. One fan has at least 500mm ducting either side and other has 500 and 400 on the fan to ventI agree with Murdochchat in-line fans are normally quiet.If you put your hand on the fan or the ducting while it's running can you feel excessive vibration, that could indicate a faulty fan. Is the air intake loose in the ceiling cladding. I would not think flexible ducting would make any difference. Moving the fan further away from the intake might improve it.
