I was unable to be connected to full fibre about a week ago, but Open Reach left me the O.N.T, (which we agreed on its location). The fibre cable has not yet been installed. I want to install the O.N.T to save time when hopefully they return, (it's only 2 screws). My question is how close to the fibre cable entry (straight through the wall) should I fit it bearing in mind fibre cable minimum bend radius. The O.N.T is Adtran GPON 1 port ONT SDX611.

Locate it where you want it. The ONT requires locating near to an electrical socket that will service that permanently. Do prepare the 'route' for the fibre to it. The ONT will have a (LAN) cable to connect to the router. The router is best placed close to the centre of your house and also requires permanent power.

They drilled through around 6" from the incomer and installed a radius making trim over the cable entry hole.
You will need at least cat6 fully sheilded cable run to your router.
The router ,as df says, should be central to the property as possible.
Also well away from other wiring and interference emitting devices and not in enclosures or cupboards.

Fairly disappointed with ours
Despite doing everything possible, replacing all the 10/100 infrastructure , numerous helpline calls ,resets, remote firmware updates, the line speeds are still half what was promised and the download speeds are only fractionally above the previous Asdl service.
But it was a fiver a month cheaper so goal was achieved -ish

The fibre doesn't go directly to the ONT - the outdoor fibre, terminates in a little box, where it joints the short length of indoor fibre, first. Both of these, will be quite close to each other on the wall. Sometimes, the box might be outdoors, but where ever it is installed, it will be at a comfortable working height - not atop a ladder etc..
