IP Addresses thread - strangely turns to a God thread!

Or Joe, you could claim that God Came from NOTHING just like the stupid disorientated, deranged scientist think the universe came from NOTHING!

and the disillusioned flock that worships science. Joe, remember this particular flock emerged from the Apes! no wonder they think like an Ape!

HAVE A GOOD DAY ALL, I have better things to do than to bang my head against primitives!

Then all you have to do is ask them what it was that acted on the nothing to make it a something and they don't know. So you say:

Whatever it was let's give it a name. Let's call it God.

Thing is Joe, no one knows what was there before the universe. There must have been something. Perhaps the universe is cyclical. It expands, until sometime, billions of years in the future, it contracts again . Then after it's contracted, the big bang starts it all off again. It's just a scientific theory (that at the moment can't be proved, or disproved, the same way that "God" is just a religious theory. Either way, Mike from London, can't prove or disprove either theory. ;) ;)

The little boys return is proof God exists and that life continues beyond death.

The first pschocoligist was grasping at straws and had not a clue. The American guy was much more intelligent and open minded.

The only thing it proves is the child has a bloody vivid imagination. Even if you accept that this child has "lived " before, it certainly doesn't prove the existence of any "god " like figure, who, for reasons only known unto him/her self) allowed the child to retain ,memories from a previous life.
Where in the bible does it say we are born again, and again, time after time? Come on Norcon , a nice religious chap like yerself should be able to provide a link to the bible that says this. (but please don't link to the bit that says we're born again into God's realm)

No imagination. The things he knows are impossible to learn from this world.
Your basically trotting out what the first pshchologist concluded with a closed mind and totally blind to the extra dimension.

If god's existence has been proved, then there is no such thing as faith anymore since this relies on belief and not knowledge.

If god's existence has been proved. then what "religion" is proved, if indeed it has proved one?

They didn't come from anywhere. They have always been there. We are made of the fabric of God. We are sparks of the divine flame. We cannot be destroyed, we go back to whence we came.
So, what you are actually saying is that they didn't come from anywhere because they are a figment of yours and other religionists imagination?
As far as I am aware, science has a better understanding of how we evolved than religion can ever explain. I have no problem at all with anyone that wants to believe in a God, but in my eyes, religion is for people that don't have the ability to think for themselves.

Using a religion to justify one's moral code is abdicating responsibility.

Religions require the existence of a god, atheism requires the existence of a common moral purpose.

Personally, I want to believe in a god for personal reasons. I also have a separate moral code which has nothing to do with my hope and belief of a god. So my actions are (I hope) for the common good and purpose of protecting mine and my own. This has nothing to do with god.

Science knows practically nothing about the universe and where it came from. We don't even know how paracetamol works. We don't know how the brain works. We can't comprehend eternity and infinity. We do however, know that the universe conforms to laws. Einstein explains it well if you google it,
