IP Addresses thread - strangely turns to a God thread!

Dan you are an even bigger ******, Do you want to know why? well because you believe you are better at everything, so when it comes to stupidity you make a better stupid!

One reason because you are bringing in quotes from the old testament, that has very little in common with modern day Christianity, which has evolved so much and left behind medieval attitudes to fit in with modern day of thinking, have you seen Christians offering animals or their first born, and do you see Christians purifying altars with animal blood, Nope, the only religions that refuse to evolve are the once still perform animal sacrificing.

Jesus laid his life to stop all that nonsense, which even I condemn.

And God knows that I for one will not be able to offer him an animal sacrifice, nor sacrifice anyone else, be it someone's child, i will put my hands up and ask him to take me instead, only that is most fair.

But having said, I won't hesitate if he asked for Dan! (Stupid people make a better sacrifice)

God does helps those who seek his true mercy, prayers offered through one's heart and in full faith, .

Nice of god to make your cat better. Why does he let babies die. Remember when you make up your excuse that he did by your own admission save your cat. Loon.

Isn't picking and choosing the bits of your religions core text a little convenient?

Did they have a meeting one day and say

"Hey lads. ...We need a rethink. All this fire and brimstone stuff is scaring the punters. Let's write a new book and make it a bit friendlier. It'll mean a lot of back tracking, but the flock [sic] won't even notice ;)"

Yes, you are likened to sheep for more than one reason. :D

I don't think I am better than everything. Far from it. My limitations are well known to me.

I wonder if the book of Corinthians was in fact a typo? Should it have been the book of Contradictions?

He conveniently avoids questions like that.

The religionists have been using the "Lord giveth" defence.

Doesn't that come from the book of Job?

Hhmmm what part of the good book is that in?

Ooops. Another hole in your foot there Mikeyboy. :D

Which bit of this does Dan Robinson disagree with?

Albert Einstein:

"Your question [about God] is the most difficult in the world. It is not a question I can answer simply with yes or no. I am not an Atheist. I do not know if I can define myself as a Pantheist. The problem involved is too vast for our limited minds. May I not reply with a parable? The human mind, no matter how highly trained, cannot grasp the universe. We are in the position of a little child, entering a huge library whose walls are covered to the ceiling with books in many different tongues. The child knows that someone must have written those books. It does not know who or how. It does not understand the languages in which they are written. The child notes a definite plan in the arrangement of the books, a mysterious order, which it does not comprehend, but only dimly suspects. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of the human mind, even the greatest and most cultured, toward God. We see a universe marvelously arranged, obeying certain laws, but we understand the laws only dimly. Our limited minds cannot grasp the mysterious force that sways the constellations."

Nothing wrong with what he said. But Einstein has consistency on his side. But remember 90. Einstein didn't believe in God, Jesus or the Bible.
Indeed he would say that that would be naive.

By the way. Mikeyboy... The ten commandments were old testament too. Can we ignore them as well?

I could not see my cat being put to sleep, and i wanted her to die at home, in my arms, so I brought my cat back at home and offered my prayers to the Almighty, for his mercy, to sparing her life, I am so glad i made that choice, she is on the mend, has almost completely recovered.

and you Atheists want to destroy our faith in him. That won't happen, we know too many incidents where his intervention has saved many situations from becoming grave.
I would've have done the same, does that make me a bad person?

What about those babies he saves as well? those whose parents prayed to HIM sincerely through their hearts and asked for his mercy and forgiveness and to spare the life of their child.

for example, parents of one child who contracted a very rare problem were faced with difficulty because there was no donor for his bone marrow, they offered sincere prayers for divine help, and a press got involved and published the story of their child who would otherwise die if a donor was not found in time, and then through some shear luck a donor was found in America, and the child was flown there and his bone marrow was transplanted, well wishers donated ample funds for the air fare and the treatment. yes God works in strange ways you do not expect him to step down to earth and put his hand over a dying child to be healed, he finds ways, clears obstacles, and makes it easier for you to take your dying child to a medical institute where the treatment finally succeeds in saving the life of that dying child.

The story of my cat is very similar, very long hence I won't put it here, because silly boys like danny will only mock it up, my cat is still being healed and I don't want to broadcast my story too soon, I want to make sure that my cat gets healed fully before I do, and give that as an example where I am pretty sure her life was spared by my sincere prayers to God, and begging for his mercy for her life when all else the vets could do was to euthanize her.

I must add that a week after my cat was brought back from the vet when they could not do any more for her, then I phoned my Vet again and asked him if he checked her thyroxine levels, now i am not a vet, so why would it occur to me if the vet checked her thyroxine or not? who put that thought in my mind? hence I took my cat back to the vet, to check her T4 thyroxine test, it was ruled out by them, instead another vet suggested that we try to give her some steroids, so she was prescribed Prednicare tablets 1mg twice daily, this kick started her recovery, and is well on her way, and is out of immediate danger, is running around and eating well, gaining weight.

I am pretty sure something or someone cleared the way for further treatment for my cat, the vet was even surprised how well she has recovered.

to me this is a miracle, and need I say how grateful I am to science as well for inventing Steroids! ;) But who directed me back to my vet?

That was a terrible attempt at obfuscation.

Dany boy you can't be a fookin good plumber if you are sitting on your little arse and posting your ill remarks all the time, you don't seem busy at all, if you were you would be out there mending someones boiler now and making mega bucks

Get off your little arse and go out and earn your bread, God won't put food in your plate if you just sat on it!

Sat on the a206 at the moment. Was in the office yesterday.

Instead of waffling and avoiding the questions try and answer them.

Selective acceptance of the old testament?
Babies punished for the sins of their fore fathers?
Lack of freewill? In which case how can we be punished for sins we had no choice in committing?

*edit*

Some of us can do more than one thing at a time. And holding a debate with you isn't the most taxing thing i have to do today.
