Sorry didn't really know how to word the title.
Basically I was taking up the list insulation when I noticed that whoever installed the loft hatch has cut the underside of the beam that supports the king posts/purlin support to run the loft hatch framing under it and fix to a joist on the other side.
The photos probably explain better but my question is should I do anything to strengthen the beam or will it be fine.

Thanks.

It is looking ok and nothing moved? Probably leave as is

Sorry for not replying earlier.
Nothing has moved but it's such a dumb thing to have done and almost directly under the purlin support beam.

Just wondered if I should do any repairs but I guess I'll just keep an eye on it.

Cheers
