The 737 Max design aims was speed to market to respond to the brilliant A320 by upgrading an old design, certifying it as no major change so needing little Pilot retraining.

Like Boeing trade dispute with Bombardier ended up with Airbus getting a huge win, this will go the same way. I don't blame the engineers but the current crop of senior managers are horrible.

It's still patching up the problem of an aircraft that has aerodynamic and design problems. Each plane has it's own quirks due to its design, handling etc but to fly one that you know has an aerodynamic instability well I hope your training covers every eventuality.

You have to understand this is a cludge of an aircraft design, it is not fly by wire unlike the far more advanced A320 which has 3 AOA sensors.

You need to understand,the cause of the latest crash is still being investigated.

No as they don't need MCAS software to override the problems inherent with a plane design. No MCAS no need for a warning light.

The FAA let Boeing certify the plane in large parts and guess what - when you cut the funding of regulators this is what happens.

This is a failure of Boeing Top Brass and the regulator.
