Have you ever read the British Standards for cad layers? My God what an absolute load of sh*te!

It's what my company uses and I too think it's cr*p However, I'm so used to using it now, I don't even think about it.

I have my own "basic" layering system for any drawing I produce, e.g. wall, window, door. It's just a habit so using layer 0 would be an effort for me

This is the way my company layer in AutoCAD (i.e. the BS)...
