Officially or unofficially? , Doesn't even come into it. It either is or not. And the current legal frame work in Pakistan is not Sharia Law.

Just because they have laws which reflect Islamic values, doesn't mean Sharia Law is in operation.

Not a cultural phenomenon exclusive to Pakistan. Mexico, India just to name a couple. I can't remember reading anything in the Quran that states you should throw acid in people faces for ****ing you off....
