It would seem to me that while to some people it's not acceptable for others to say these things, for those who do make these statements it obviously is acceptable. It would appear that the moderators fall into the latter camp.

These are the same moderators who remove posts on the grounds of unsuitability for a "family forum".

This bias and hypocrisy must be ended.

Some people hold views like these very deeply. Would you rather these people kept quiet about their opinions?

That depends on whether there is to be a consistent approach to dealing with "unsuitability".

People keep on about free speech, but free speech is a myth. Provided they are not illegal, I have the freedom to post pornographic pictures on a website I own. I would not expect to have the same freedom here.

I expect to be able to move my bowels when I need to. I do not expect to exercise that freedom in the middle of the carpet in the saloon bar of a pub.

People do hold views deeply, and there are some who I wish would keep quiet about them because I find their views repugnant, but that is not something I can enforce.

All I want, all I have ever wanted, is for the moderators to stop hiding behind the lie of "family values" given that they permit people to advocate mass slaughter, arson, torture and murder.

Can you clarify with Admin exactly what your policy on what is and is not acceptable, because at the moment there is no consistency in what you are locking, deleting etcetera.

Are these mods amoebas? They reproduce at phenomenal rates, however, it is unfair to insinuate that their brain sizes are similar (a test to see if the mods see the glass half empty or half full ...........or maybe they just take away the glass )

In principle I agree with BAS's general position and applaud his efforts.....it is good to see a person with convictions (apart from those held by Joe-90)

Johnny-t, with regards to certain posters, although sometimes they do have interesting points, now I more often than not skip their posts as they are usually just spoiling tactics without any attempt at reasonable debate, which bring to mind a spoilt child who must be the centre of attention. Best thing may be to ignore them? Imagine a forum where a certain members posts did not appear to exist with no replies to any of them....now that would be good ....after all trolls are just figments of the imagination

Err - the forum s/w allows me to choose, and use, different font sizes and colours.

Why is this facility there if it is not to be used?

Rule 6a) says "Please use colours etc sparingly"

Is your definition of "sparingly" "only to emphasise a point on which the moderators agree"?

Good point about the use of colours/font-size. I don't think it's these that upset the mods so much as you pushing them for answers which they don't want to address. Threatening you with cencorship for using colours and text size is ridiculous. Try asking them what their favourite colours are and use those!

And the point I was, and still am, and will keep on making until the moderators and admin have the decency to give me a proper answer, is that it seems to be OK for you to say that you want the Israelis to do something that you know will kill innocent civilians, but it seems not OK for me to explain to you just what that desire really means, and really leads to, and it seems not OK for there to be a debate on that double standard.

Isn't that the whole idea of you explaining your reasons? I've learnt a lot from your posts & you have made me changed my mind regarding the death penalty topic and if the moderators deleted the unsuitable posts straight away, how could you get your point of views across because people may not realise what's they have written or how it come across until you've pointed it out to them, am'I on the right track here

Erm...not trying to teach grandma to suck eggs...am slowly learning only to give advice in two situations...1. when asked for, and 2. in life or death situations. Was as much trying to convince myself of this course of action ....but know what you mean about just finding yourself typing.....must resist...must resist
