The police do look for certain types of people for certain types of crime.

So they should. If we had a decent police force they would know all the villains in their area and would be watching them constantly and giving no quarter, and said villains would know who is boss.

That's how it was years ago. Coppers were big, imposing figures who acted as a real deterrent, not the 12 year old pc girls who waddle around in high vis now. Old ladies felt safe and the criminals were scared. Now it's the other way around. Strange that crime was a lot lower then. If you're a victim of high crime now, blame the bleeding-heart liberals.
