kitchen installation

Hi elvin
I am not 100% sure it is a reg .. but it seems that most manufacturers set their wall units at that level . If you buy an appliance set, ie hob and cheimney , you can then buy a stainless splashback to go behind the hob.. these are nearly always 750 high. As I said in my post .. always check the manufacturers installation instructions for clearances as they supercede regs.
If you do not have a larder or oven housing in the run of units then you can adjust the hieght of the wall units to suit your requirements, as long as you adhere to the gas regs around the hob position .. from memory corgi ask for 100mm either side of a hob and not lower than 480mm. As I am not gassafe, perhaps someone on here who is can confirm the dimensions for this.

Thank you loosenup for your reply

With regards to the dishwasher tripping the switch in the consumer unit the electrican at first couln't make out the reason especially when the switch tripped when we ran the dishwasher while he was here.

Then he looked under the sink to look at the plug and found that because of some sloppy plumbing work the dishwasher was actually leaking when it rinsed and the leak was onto the electric plug hence the problem and the tripping. All fixed now

Just one more thing. the installer threw away the installation instructions and user manual (and quarantee, I believe) so I have had to try to find same on the internet. No luck so far.
