Thats right Richard, you bury your head in the sand, all them papers telling lies, its not right is it. Everyone knows its not true-don't they?

ooch! well paul um! like I said sorry, specially if it has upset you, them papers? well what ever! I don't even take one unless I get the cornishman on thursdays, we had a bad write-up in the Telegraph and was misquoted once in the daily mail so I guess I just don't like em. and Joe's reference to limp-wrists was a tad on the confrontational side so I stepped up to the line but like I said it sort of died a death and now its a nice sunny evening and nothing could possible **** me off

pb, I'm a bit suspicious of this national report, which at the moment purports to be in "draft" form.

Firstly, the papers will report whatever is newsworthy, in order to sell papers. The truth isn't always newsworthy though

Secondly, the BNP won't gain the 70 seats that appears to be the maximum - this is my opinion, but it's based on the commonplace understanding that people don't vote the way that they indicate when asked. The question posed by Margaret Hodge, or her representative, was "would you think about voting BNP?" Apparantly 80% of those questioned said yes. I'd like to see the number of answers to the question "would you think about voting Labour", and, indeed, every other party, before concluding that there's about to be a landslide in favour of the UK Nazis (allegedly).

The proof of the pudding will be in the eating - we'll see what the outcome is, and if it's too far to the right then there'll be a hue and cry, then it will all calm down and Nick Griffin will carry on with his closet xenophobia.

Life goes on - vitam impendere vero.

This is the stuff that is driving the people wild: From MigrationWatch.

76% of the British public favour an annual limit on immigration. [1]
Net migration into the UK has averaged 166,000 a year over the last 7 years. [2]
• The UK’s population is projected to rise by 7.2 million from 2004 to 2031 – 6.0 million (83%) of this rise is due to immigration.[3] That’s equivalent to two cities the size of Cambridge every year, or 6 cities the size of Birmingham over the 27 year period, needing to be built because of immigration.[4]
• 65,000 new homes will be required in England each year for the period 2003-26 for immigrants.[5]
• In 2004 12.0 million non-EU nationals arrived in the UK[6]. How many left? No one knows – we have no embarkation controls.
• In Inner London 57% of all births are to foreign-born mothers.[7]
• 70% of net international migration is to London. In recent years a net 100,000 migrants a year have been arriving in London and there has been a net movement of 100,000 existing residents from London to the rest of the UK.[8]
• The cost of running the Immigration and Nationality Department of the Home Office rose from £300 million in 1998-1999 to 1.9 billion in 2003-4.[9] Legal aid costs of £170m a year are additional.
• England is one of the most densely populated countries in the world. It has nearly twice the population density of Germany, 4 times that of France and 12 times that of the USA.
• Since 1997 about 376,000 asylum seekers have been refused permission to stay here but only 85,000 have been recorded as having been removed from the UK. [10]
• And those with families whose claims have failed continue to receive benefits worth an average of £15,000 a year tax free.[11]

YOU are becoming EXTREMELY boring joe. Stop trying to wind people up. Enjoy contributing to the thread and remember EVERYONE is reading it, or leave it alone if you have to keep on with your personal vendetta - people are not interested in trolling through the same old things.

"76% of the British public favour an annual limit on immigration."

I guess that the BNP are doing well eh? Or could it be that ordinary people are waking up to the reality?

What are your thoughts on the matter?

As soon as the Limp-Wrists are cornered they fall in a heap.
The forum might recall that as soon as AH was cornered he shot himself, and his concubine took cyanide.

I expect they did so with immensely strong wrists though

doesn't surprise me at all do you know how many people support the death penalty?

Fair enough softus your entitled to your opinion but I do have a few remarks.
I'm a bit suspicious of this national report, which at the moment purports to be in "draft" form.
I am curious why you are suspicious, the report was written by the Joseph Rowntree reform trust.
http://www.jrrt.org.uk/
One of the most respected organisations in the country. Whilst I agree the press are only in it for the money, they have had little input and are only reporting the findings. Are you suspicious of this organisation?
I'd like to see the number of answers to the question "would you think about voting Labour", and, indeed, every other party, before concluding that there's about to be a landslide in favour of the UK Nazis
It wasn't a report about UK Nazis, it was about the BNP, a legitimate political party. It makes no difference what the eventual figures are, the point is they will definately gain ground, because the mainstream parties are sticking two fingers up at the electorate, which is giving odious extremists the opportunities they need.
The proof of the pudding will be in the eating - we'll see what the outcome is, and if it's too far to the right then there'll be a hue and cry, then it will all calm down and Nick Griffin will carry on with his closet xenophobia.
Why is it closet xenophobia? The BNP, like all the parties, write a manifesto in which they set out what they intend to do. The public then (hopefully) read these and decide how they wish to vote. I have never supported the BNP myself, but if they did get in power I would except the majority had voted for them on the basis of what was said, even if I did find it wrong.

Thats democracy in action, complete with its faults, I'm afraid.

Apologies MOD, the above could be read as meaning you, when I actually meant the other posters, sorry for any confusion.

Moderator note

Theres no confusion, it is fast going off track and descending to an unacceptable level of personal insults which are unacceptable. If Joe-90 is unable to carry out a healthy debate with other members of the forum within the rules then it will be locked.

your apology is noted but the warning was not aimed at you!

You know my feelings about this immigration thing...but as for the BNP..Griffin is a proven fan of the german national socialist movement (the nazis)

If they got in their front bench would consist of..Chancellor of the exchequer...'some bloke dahn the pub whos good at maffs'...home secretary...some bloke dahn the pub whos good at crosswords..cheif whip...some bloke dahn the pub who is a part time bouncer and good with his fists..in charge of security would be a gang of fat 50 y/o skinheads

The national front came a very close third back in the seventies...the only reason they didnt do better is because people didnt rate their Nazi angle.

Thirty years previous we had been at war with the Nazis...and it would be an insult to the dead to vote for the NF

IMO We need a party who are devoid of all links with the brown shirts..but a party who will make a stand for Britain...FAIRLY
