I want Reform to keep going.

For many many years the U.K. has had a bunch of parties on the left and the centre but on the right the Tories have been the only party.

Come the next election Tories and Reform will be competing for the same voters…..wot a shame.

The only way Reform could win power is for Labour voters to switch to Reform….not many will do that.
The fact that Ellon sees TR as a suitable leader shows the chasm between American and British right wing politics. People might have voted to leave the EU but they want to keep the NHS because its free. It will be interesting to see whether the dog whistle right wingers on the forum side with Robinson or Fromage

As I've said in other threads, part of me would love Reform to get into power. Yes be careful what you wish for and all that I grant you.

Why?

Because once in power, it would be on them (to fix all the issues.) As the weeks and months roll by once in power, I wonder what excuses they'd come up with for not getting stuff resolved?

Anyone who thinks Reform is a panacea for all the UKs ills is at best misinformed.

I know what you mean, what them fail and all that. But they could be in for 5 years, a lot of damage could be done in that time.

I am a supporter in principle of PR but the B en P and re form are good examples of how a hard right/far right party can use it to get into power. Quite a few dictators have wormed their way to power by initially using democratic elections.
