• General perception of how much a skilled tradesman should earn.

Nothing wrong with Government driving up housebuilding. And increasing trades people, by various means.
Rabbit hutches are more than likely better built. ......Only totally desperate trades people would work for the big companies that build rabbit hitches
The sensible avoid them like the plague
Those imported here and paid minimum wage or less will be the unskilled. Unemployed labourers most likely, who will take any work going.
No skilled workers will come here because they will want proper wages, which they won't get from UK housebuilders.
I am not a tradesman. But I got the impression, from the news etc. that when we were in the EU we were flooded with good tradesman from Poland etc.? Obviously, I have no inside knowledge.
