I have just had all my windows replaced (upv) and opted for bow window down stairs.
upon inspection (work men gone before I could look grrrr ) I noticed the lead on the roof ,poorly fitted and not weather proof, (around the join with the window and the wall)
some parts of the lead have been screwed down and also the joins have been covered in clear silicone. I am no expert with lead but I am sure that this will only last a short time.
I need some advice . how should the lead be laid i.e. should they be using silicon to cover the joins and also should they be using screws. I'm sure the answer is no but would like some reassurance from someone in the know
