I would like to build a lean-to (open on three sides and the other side on the house brick wall), however there is a gas boiler flue outlet on the wall which will be about 200mm below the roof of the lean-to? There is a door which is 300mm away from the outlet of the flue. The flue would be on edge of the lean-to (see image attached). Would I need to extend the flue away from the lean-to, or is there enough open space for the setup as it is currently? I tried reviewing as many regulation references as I could, but I'm still not sure. I could make the lean-to a bit shorter on the left hand side, but ideally would want it to cover the whole way along.

Given it’s a conventional boiler, I’m not sure you could extend the flue. The window is also too close, 1200mm away is the distance
I read this in the manual also but understood that to be 1200mm if within a carport (not open space). If in open space then it has to be 300mm from a window.

Hard to judge really on a forum, and you say it's open to 3 sides, which should be ok. However, they say to treat some lean-to's etc as a car port style

Page 12 of the manual suggests it can be extended (unless i am misunderstandingthe manual). What I can't seem to confirm is how far away from lean to or carport it can be before it becomes relevant. Thanks.

As I said in post #4, which might not have been totally clear, you might not be able to extend the flue - as in you probably can't get hold of the flue as it's likely to be discontinued, irrespective of what the manual states as at the time of publishing it would have been available.

Thanks for clarifying, Apologies I misunderstood you to mean that you wouldn't be allowed to extend rather than physically get hold of the parts. It sounds like it would need to be these specific parts on the manual then, and nit alternative after market options?

Better asking/getting this moved to the plumbing area. I think you can go straight out the back or (if you come out of the top) - left or right so possibly at 45° which might get you where you need to be if you could core a suitable hole. The extensions are called pack "D" and are readily available but it's gas safe work and won't be cheap.
