LEDs flash very so often

I noticed that too. There's an earth core at the light fitting but not the switch. Any suggestions?

On top of that, you have what appears to be knitted wallpaper.

Fix the earth thing first though cos that really IS serious.

Why do you say get the earth sorted? If there's an earth running to he back of the back box then sure it's sorted? Isn't it?

I would add a piece of earth wire between the back box and the light switch. Sleeve it.

If you look at the back of your switch, you'll see where the earth wire should attach.
